About job

To maintain, develop and continually improve the Authority’s Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO & OHSAS standards, local & legal authority, Health & Safety Legislation and any other requirements placed upon the Authority.

Job Requirements

  • Bsc./Diploma on any related field.
  • 5 to 7 years experience working within a similar position
  • Minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3.
  • Minimum qualification of: Internal Auditor ISO 9001, 14001, & OHSAS 18001.

Job Responsibilities

  • To ensure all provisions of the Authority’s Policies are carried out and to advise management of noncompliance and recommendation as appropriate.
  • Manage the performance of QHSE activities in pursuit of overall company objectives.
  • To act as the designated Competent Person for the Authority (in accordance with the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations) and assist with Management in undertaking the measures needed to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed on the Authority by relevant statutory legislation.
  • Oversee Internal, External & Third‐Party Audits
  • Oversee QA & QC activities and conform to QHSE requirements during project tendering stage
  • Maintenance and on‐going development on QHSE Management Systems, incorporating the Safety Code, ensuring documentation is concise, meets applicable legislative and other requirements and is kept up to date
  • Optimize the well‐being of all personnel clients, contractors, sub‐contractors, communities and environment
  • Align the QHSE system of the project with QHSE systems of contractor and subcontractors
  • Ensure HSE & Business Risk are conducted as required.
  • Identify opportunities for continual System improvement and implement programmes to deliver these.
  • Promote and coordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into standard policies and services.
  • Prepare QHSE reports and guidance and information when required.
  • Plan and perform internal QHSE audits/inspections with registration and follow up actions
  • Identify & report on Quality and Safety related problems
  • Maintain Q Share data base/ Internal QHSE Server File/ QHSE Intranet Folder.
